Rhombus has unveiled its latest innovation in access control technology with the introduction of the DC10 Single-Door Controller. This compact, cloud-managed solution is tailored for environments requiring enterprise-grade access control and sensor connectivity for single-door access points.
The DC10 connects individual doors directly to Rhombus’s cloud-based platform, providing capabilities for remote management, lockdown, and integration with various smart sensors. Its sleek design is adaptable for installation in diverse settings such as offices, retail spaces, restaurants, gyms, and other locations where a multi-door system may not be feasible.
Key features of the DC10 include one wet/dry relay, an auxiliary relay, and four inputs for functions such as request-to-exit and door position monitoring. Its IK08-rated design ensures durability, allowing installation in challenging spaces like above drop ceilings or near protected doors.
The controller supports 90 W PoE++ and PoE passthrough, enabling power and connectivity through a single cable, which can also support a nearby camera. Additionally, it offers built-in connectivity for Rhombus environmental, intrusion, and motion sensors, along with panic buttons, maintaining a line-of-sight range up to 100 meters.
Equipped with Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity, the DC10 allows for uninterrupted cloud access, enabling operators to manage doors remotely without the need for on-site servers. This innovation significantly expands cloud-based access control to smaller or distributed locations, easing installation and infrastructure complexities.
